under § 10 of the Bavarian Digital Ordinance (BayDiV)
The Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg strives to make its websites accessible in accordance with Art. 14 of the Bavarian Disability Equality Act (BayBGG) and § 9 BayDiV.
This statement applies to the review bidding of the bakule symposium in the BaKuLe project at bidding.bakule-symposium.de. For the university’s other web services the central accessibility statement applies (in German).
Compliance status
The yardstick is the requirements of § 9(1) BayDiV in conjunction with § 3 of the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0). A website meets them if it conforms to the European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1. For websites, this standard is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
Because of the points listed below, this website is partially compliant with these requirements.
We deliberately kept the service simple: semantic HTML, keyboard operation, visible focus, labels for all form fields, contrast according to WCAG AA (also in dark mode), feedback for screen readers, a skip link, layout down to 320 pixels width without loss of content, zoom up to 200 %, and function without JavaScript.
Content that is not accessible
Content of the submissions
Titles, abstracts and references come from the submitters. We cannot influence their structure or language; foreign-language passages are not always marked as such.
Alternative: on request we provide individual submissions as text in another form.
No Easy Language version, no sign language
There is no version in Easy Language and there are no videos in German Sign Language. The interface is available in German and English.
Alternative: the start page explains how to use the service in a few short steps. For questions, use the contact below.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 3 November 2026.
It is based on a self-assessment of the pages of the service. This consisted of automated checks, a check of keyboard operation, measurements of colour contrast and of the layout at 320 pixels width, and a review of the source code. A test with screen readers is still outstanding.
The statement is reviewed and updated at least once a year.

Enforcement procedure
If your request via the contact above remains wholly or partly unanswered for six weeks, the Bavarian State Office for Digitisation, Broadband and Surveying will examine, at your request, whether measures against the University are necessary (§ 11(2) BayDiV). This also applies if you believe that we are wrongly invoking a disproportionate burden.
